Here are some book jackets from England. I always like to see different covers. Theirs are the ones on the left and ours are the ones on the right. In general, I tend to like "theirs" better than "ours".

Online Book Club

As you may know, our Library offers book clubs for all ages. If you're interested in a book club, but can't make it in for our monthly meetings, you might want to join this online book club. The club is hosted by a new teen Each week and a different book is featured. It's a great way to be a part of a book club from the comfort of your own home (and with out have to change out of your pajamas).

Teens' Top Tens

If you are looking for a good book to read, why not try one from the nomination list for the ALA Teens' Top Ten.

Here's the deal, there are 26 titles on the list that were nominated by 15 teen book groups. Read the ones that you might be interested in and if you really love them, vote for them for the Teens' Top Ten in August and September when the polls are open. (I'll post a reminder here on the blog when the voting starts). They have a great selection. Find the complete list here. Some of our favorites include: Wintergirls, Fire, Catching Fire, Incarceron, If I Stay and Leviathan...but we're too old to vote.
